Eligeo Information Technology has been serving small to medium sized businesses since 2008.
Serving the small to medium business market, Eligeo is a privately owned company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 2008, Eligeo Information Technology is a one-stop shop approach for business technology solutions. We offer customized solutions to all types of businesses.
Eligeo’s focus is on exceeding each customers’s needs by not offering traditional – boring customer service, but instead focusing on building mutual, beneficial partnerships while continuing to provide personalized service. The Eligeo team shares a common passion for providing customer service excellence, and is comprised of a variety of individuals with expertise in strategy development, web, technical, networking, programming, training and more.
The word is getting around, with zero customer defections and ongoing double-digit growth during tough economic times, our partners and their referrals recognize the value Eligeo Information Technology provides. As a testament to our business model and ability to deliver on it, approximately 85% of our business is generated through partner or existing client referral.

Our History
Eligeo has developed an incredible history and we’re really proud of where we came from and where we are going. We love to celebrate milestones and share our success, so here’s a bit of where we’ve been.
Eligeo IT was formed on January 1st, 2008 and founded by Derek Major. Derek’s rich technology history goes back to when he was 13 years old and actively sought contracts with customers over the Internet. In 1998, Derek also had a web site that generated over 10,000 visitors per day and helped him secure online advertising deals and become a featured web site in some of the top magazines in that year.
2008
When the company was formed it was designed to provide residential and business customers with their own help desk service. The help desk would be able to provide web design services, technical support for computers and programming services for customers. Many of Eligeo’s first customers included Duct Blasters and Square One Design who are both clients of Eligeo IT to this day. Eligeo IT also began working with Canadian Youth Business Foundation as one of our key financial backers and partners.
2009
The first year of business for Eligeo was about learning and proving concepts either worked or didn’t work. We quickly established ourselves as an I.T. provider strictly for small businesses within the 1 to 100 employee range. This made it easier for us to focus our efforts on delivering improved customer service. This was also a coming out year for our company as we added many of our largest customers including Grey Eagle Casino, Berry Flooring, Mountain View Academy and many others. We also introduced Eligeo C.A.R.E. (Communities Are Really Everything) as our philanthropic division to help support causes that are in need. The first recipient was Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids.
2010
After an incredible exciting 2009 we ventured into 2010 looking to grow and improve our business model. We added a significant amount of clients in 2009 and continued this trend well into 2010. Our focus centered around providing strictly technical support services for small business. In addition we also introduced a more modern version of our logo to show the maturity our organization was growing into.
After introducing our Eligeo C.A.R.E. program in 2009 we were excited to accept the Leaders in Employee Volunteering Award from Volunteer Calgary. This marked an amazing achievement for a small business such as Eligeo IT and showed that any business of any size could contribute to our community.
2011
Eligeo changes it’s brand and renames to Eligeo Information Technology. As part of the re-brand the company also shifts its focus towards delivering cloud-based solutions specifically designed to meet the needs and demands of small and medium sized businesses across Western Canada.
