Office 365 has been a hit with our customers

Before I get into today’s blog I just wanted to make a quick plug on our new website.  We’re really thrilled to release our new brand and image for the world to see.  We’ve spent a lot of time working with our web designers to come up with a new concept that really demonstrated who we are and I think we really nailed it.

So onto Office 365 and the popularity that it has garnered so far.  I have to admit I didn’t think that it would become as popular as it has but I would say over 50% of our customers are either on Office 365 or will be soon moving to it.  I suspect that number will continue to increase over the next year or so.

So, what’s so great about Office 365 and why is it selling?  I’m seeing two things.

  1. The cost.  $7 per month per user is an affordable price.
  2. Connectivity.  All of your devices are sync’d by way of calendar, contacts and email.

These two things have really made it an easy sell for our customers.  When it comes to price our customers no longer worry about the upwards of $10,000 investment into servers and on-going maintenance costs.  That is all gone by way of a new subscription model that really helps businesses get into the collaboration space.

When it comes to connectivity who doesn’t love the idea of turning on their tablet, sending an email and then seeing that same sent email on their mobile device.  Then on top of that being able to either pop onto webmail or into Outlook on your PC or Mac and then having everything seamlessly integrated.  This is cool stuff.

The world is changing quickly but it is really a pleasant surprise to see Office 365 become such a vital tool in the every day business lives of our customers.
